It’s time for TNA’s second, that’s right I said second, Pay Per View of the year. This is the first show in the “new Pay Per View era” for Impact Wrestling as they did not have a February show and will not have another live Pay Per View until Slammaversary in June in Boston. The Aces and Eights saga continues and does not appear to be ending anytime soon since D-Lo Brown was only revealed as the VICE President. Eric Bischoff still needs to be unveiled as the true leader and I can’t see that happening at this show. The big news heading into the show is the contract status of Bobby Roode. As of this writing he is not going to be appearing and defending the tag team titles on Lockdown due to his contract apparently running out. Maybe Roode should call Jeff Jarrett to see how to handle this situation!! TNA is also expecting it’s largest paid attendance for any show at Lockdown with over 5500 fans in attendance in San Antonio. Here are a look at the matches for the show. » Read more..

Addie’s TNA Lockdown 2013 Preview
What I Would Like To See in 2013
The new year is upon us once again and this time of year generally bring about new year’s resolutions and looking ahead to the year to come. 2012 was a decent year in professional wrestling. TNA had their highlight with the summer’s Bound For Glory Series and Impact in June, July, and August. WWE had a huge buyrate for Wrestlemania, The Rock in a match, and the return of Brock Lesnar who had a great match with John Cena. But that’s last year, yesterday’s news! I’d like to look ahead to 2013 and give some thoughts on what I would LIKE to see in wrestling this year. Not to say that these things are going to happen but if I had my way, they would. » Read more..
Rebuilding The X Division
At one point in time it could be argued that TNA Impact Wrestling’s legacy could
have been defined by their cutting edge X Division, as for the first several years of the promotion it was the life blood of the company and what truly made them stand out from the WWE.
Over time though it’s changed, and the X Division is now just another part of the show and a low priority one at that. Look no further than at this past Final Resolution PPV where the X Division title match was set up with a 3 way match in the last hour of the go home Impact show between Zema Ion, Kenny King and Kid Kash, none of whom were given a ring entrance, and it ended in 5:55 seconds. It would be hard to imagine less effort put in to a championship match on a PPV that was still announced ahead of time.
Still, I would love to see the X Division return to its former glory, but how do you do that?
Talent Acquisition
Once the X Division was populated by established stars with up and coming talents creating an exciting mix. Now… not so much. As we approach the end of 2012 the X consists of young guys seen as marginal talents and older performers who never reached their potential or are past their prime. And so very few of them to boot, at this point there’s only 6-7 performers active on the Impact roster web page that could be seen as competing in the X Division. » Read more..

Why I Want Ryback To Fail
Looking at the title of this blog I’m sure most will just assume that I hate Ryback going in, but that’s not quite right.
As a performer it’s true I don’t think much of him, and as a person obviously I don’t know him at all.
So I do want it understood going forward this isn’t personal, just my opinion of what I think is for the best.
Let me just lay out a little what some of the negatives and positives are I see in Ryback. » Read more..
