It’s another packed edition of We Talk Wrestling as Addie and Mo have returned from a week off due to illness. The guys talk at length about Bruno Sammartino’s induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame complete with the backstory about why it is such a big deal and how it all went down. Two RAW episodes are discussed including Brock Lesnar’s return, the Rhode Schollar break up, and Trish Stratus in the Hall of Fame. The Elimination Chamber card is discussed as well as Bret Hart’s comments about Triple H. All this plus an email question about Hulk Hogan in the Attitude Era.

Looking At TNA Wrestling Hall Of Fame Candidates

TNA has announced they will start a Hall Of Fame. Other than that it will exist, that it will happen at Bound For Glory and that the 1^st inductee is “The Icon” Sting very little is known about what they intend to do at this point, but it seems likely Sting will be joined by some of his peers and not be the only inductee unlike how Andre The Giant was for the 1^st year of the WWF/WWE’s HOF. So join me as I look at many of the best candidates TNA may be considering and try to figure out who is most likely to join Sting and what TNA’s strategy may be, and then I’ll state my opinion on who I think they should also put in at the inaugural event.

Is there hope for Wrestling? (Flashback to February 2007)

I just found this blog from 2007 that I wrote on Myspace (remember that thing?). I thought I would put it up and reflect on how the more things change, the more they stay the same. Here it is:

So I just finished watching the first period of the Calgary Flames vs Detroit Red Wings game and the Flames are getting crushed 3-0. Not much incentive to continue to watch that, which brings me to my main topic: What is my incentive to watch proffessional wrestling, or as the two Vinces with a pen call it Sports Entertainment. To me, the stories are moving along way too fast and the ones that are sticking around don’t revolve around wrestling. The current example of this is Vince vs Trump. They are not wrestling so what’s the point. It’s not entertaining to anyone other than the McMahons and MAYBE Trump himself. » Read more..

All this plus the guys take some questions about USA chants on shows and the most under utilized guys in history.
